01/02/09 - Forgotten Coast Winters
Today, in a effort to get into better shape, I went for a power walk on the beach. Thirty minutes from the house and return. Started out with long pants and shirt but peeled off the long sleeve shirt at about 15 minutes at about 30 minutes off came the t-shirt by the time I returned home I wish I was in shorts. Along the way, I met a new mom with her infant in a jogging stroller, a couple collecting shells and two golden retrievers romping in the surf. No one else was on the beach. Got some sun and needed sun block; the temperature only about 68 but the sun is very warm and no clouds with a slight breeze. Great start to my fitness campaign. Come join me for a walk on the beach.
